Chinese
Chinese is taught from Prep to Grade 6. The children learn about a different culture, language, food, and country.
In 2004 and in 2007 students and teachers from Ararat North Primary School took part in a Study Tour of China. This amazing opportunity further strengthened our school and town's ties with its sister city Taishan, in China. It provided an incredible opportunity for all involved to experience firsthand another culture.
On previous tours of China the children had the opportunity to experience :
- Home stay over several days
- Visiting the cities of Shanghai and Beijing
- Xian – Terra Cotta Warriors
- Rural town visits
- Arts and crafts
- The Great Wall of China
- Traditional Chinese foods
- Attending School
